We believe that this statement of belief is an accurate summary of what the Bible teaches. Some may hold different theological views, but it is our request that all church members refrain from advocating doctrines that are not included in this statement. A more detailed explanation of our beliefs is available upon request, along with a complete list of scriptures supporting each of them.

1. GOD
There is one true God. He is the creator of the universe, humans and all creatures. He is eternal and exists as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit (Spirit of God). (Genesis 1:1; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19-20; 2 Corinthians 13:14)

2. JESUS CHRIST
Jesus is the son of God. He was born to the virgin Mary and became human. He died on the cross so that we may be forgiven of our wrongs if we ask him into our lives. He was buried and 3 days later rose from the dead and later went to heaven. (John 1:1-18, Matthew 1:18-25, Romans 5:6-10, 1 Peter 3:18, Acts 2:22-24, John 3:16)

3. HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is an active presence that works in our lives to comfort, encourage and teach us so that we may live a godly life in Christ Jesus. (John 14:15-18, 16:7-15; Romans 8:1-17)

4. BIBLE
The Bible, both the Old and New Testaments, are the inspired, error-free Word of God. It was written by humans who were under the direction of the Holy Spirit. It provides us guidance in our faith and daily lives. Passages from the Bible are often referred to as scripture.(2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105; Proverbs 30:5, Romans 1:16)

5. SALVATION (being SAVED)
God has offered us salvation - a forgiveness of our sins and the gift of eternal life. It is God's free gift, but we must make the choice to accept it. God loves us and showed us that love through Jesus' death and resurrection. We cannot make up for sin or earn God's love through good works. We must repent (turn away from our sins and ask forgiveness) and have faith in Jesus Christ as we accept Him as the leader of our lives. When we turn from our sins and trust in Christ, God forgets about our old record of sin and we become a Christian and part of the family of God. (Genesis 2:16-17; John 1:12; Galatians 6:7-8, Isaiah 55:6-7; Acts 13:39, 17:30-31; Titus 3:4-7; Galatians 4:4-7; Romans 5:1,6:6,16-18,23,8:5-8; Ephesians 2:8,9; Isaiah 53:5-6; John 3:16)

6. HUMANS
People are made in the image of God. They are unique among all God has created and have been given free will to make choices about their lives. People have been marred by an attitude of disobedience called sin. This characteristic of humans separates us from God and can cause problems in life. (Genesis 1:27, 3; Romans 3:23, 5:12-14, 6:15-23)

7. CHURCH
The church or Body of Christ is made up of groups of people throughout the world who are Christians (followers of Christ). This does not refer to any one denomination of Christianity. Salvation, not affiliation with a local church (building, Sunday services), brings a person into the true church. The purpose of the church is to teach the story of Jesus and strengthen each other within the Body of Christ.(I Corinthians 12:12-31; Ephesians 1:22-23,4:15-16,5:25-27; Matthew 5:13-16; 28:28-20)

8. CHRIST'S RETURN
The Bible teaches that Jesus is coming to earth again and after that everyone will face the judgment of God with its punishments and rewards. (John 14:1-3; I Thessalonians. 4:13-18; Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation. 20:11-15)
